State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Syed Sumsam Ali Bukhari on Monday brushed aside the rumours regarding delay in the election and termed some of the statements in this respect as baseless.
Talking to a private news channel, he assured that election would be held on time in a transparent manner. He urged all political parties to promote democracy in the country.
Replying to a question, he said government is ready for negotiation with those who would surrender the weapons and obey the writ of government according to Constitution of Pakistan.
Syed Sumsam Bukhari urged all stakeholders to promote interfaith harmony and brotherhood in the country.He stressed the need for making combined efforts to resolve the problems of the masses.
He said that some external elements are involved in disturbing peace of the country and for this purpose they are using different tactics.
Replying to an other question, the minister said that we should think about national interest rather than provincial blame game.
